Portion of Old Stage Road in Brunswick County to close for pipe replacement project

RICHMOND – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close Route 712 (Old Stage Road) between Route 58 (Governor Harrison Parkway) and Route 721 (Coon Swamp Road) for a pipe replacement project. Weather permitting, the road will be closed daily August 17-20 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Residents will be able to access their properties.

Through-traffic drivers should follow the posted detour:

Northbound Traffic: Take a left onto Route 634 (Liberty Road), left onto Route 606 (Planters Road), left onto Route 641 (Bright Leaf Road) and continue to Route 58

Southbound Traffic: Take a right onto Bright Leaf Road, right onto Planters Road, right onto Liberty Road and continue to Old Stage Road
