I-95 northbound ramp to Franconia Road/Old Keene Mill Road in Springfield nighttime closures Aug. 14, 16 & 17
SPRINGFIELD – Weather permitting, the ramp from northbound I-95 to Franconia Road/Old Keene Mill Road (Route 644, Exits 169 A-B) will be closed for paving Friday night, Aug. 14; Sunday night, Aug. 16; and Monday night, Aug. 17, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The ramp will be closed as follows:
- 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, to 5 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15.
- 11 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, to 4 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17.
- 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, to 4 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.
Northbound I-95 traffic will be detoured via the Fairfax County Parkway (Route 286, Exit 166) interchange, which is located three miles prior to the Franconia Road/Old Keene Mill Road interchange. The detour route will be Exit 166A (South 286/Fairfax County Parkway to Newington and Fort Belvoir), continuing straight onto Loisdale Road (Route 789) to reach Franconia Road/Old Keene Mill Road. Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs.
